Getting started as a worker
Everything you need to set up your worker profile happens in the Fix24 worker app on your phone. The web portal is only for buying and managing your subscription once your account exists.
1. Create your account in the app
Install the Fix24 worker app and sign up with your mobile number. You'll get a one-time SMS code to confirm the number, then set a password. Your account is created as a worker automatically — there's no separate "become a worker" step.
Signing up is app-only. If you open the web portal without an account, you'll only see a sign-in screen — create the account in the app first.
2. Complete the setup wizard
The first time you sign in, the app walks you through a short wizard. You can leave and come back — your progress is saved.
- Trades — pick the services you offer (for example Plumber or Electrician). How many you can list depends on your plan.
- Rate card — set your typical charges so users know what to expect.
- Work areas — set one or more service areas as a centre point and radius on the map. Jobs whose location falls inside an active work area reach you. The number of areas and the maximum radius depend on your plan.
- Aadhaar KYC — complete the one-time Aadhaar verification. This is required before you can go live.
3. Submit for review
Submit your profile from the last step of the wizard. Our team reviews your details and your KYC result, then either approves you or sends it back with a reason. While you're waiting, the app shows a read-only summary of what you submitted and a Check status button.
4. Choose a plan
Subscriptions are purchased on the web portal — open it from the app or sign in at the portal with the same mobile number and password. See subscriptions and billing for what plans control and how payment works.
5. Go live
Once you are approved and have an active subscription, you become searchable and start receiving job alerts. Turn on On duty in the app when you're available to work.
Approval and subscription can be done in either order — but you need both to go live.
Where to change things later
Everything above stays editable in the app's Account tab: your profile, trades, rate card, work areas, KYC status, plan and usage, notification and location settings, and your language.
